Fix It Before It Fails
When something goes wrong under the bonnet, it doesn’t just affect performance — it can put your safety at risk. A hose that splits, a bearing that fails or a cooling system that lets go can all lead to major damage if ignored. That’s why our team checks things properly and explains what needs doing in plain language.
We only use quality parts and fit them the right way, so the repair holds up long after you’ve left the workshop. From engines and cooling systems to steering, suspension and driveline components, we’ll keep your car, ute or 4WD running reliably for years to come.
Why is my check engine light on?
A check engine light can be triggered by anything from a loose fuel cap to a serious engine issue. Common causes include faulty sensors, misfires, emissions problems or fuel system faults. Diagnostic tools are used to read the error code and identify the specific issue. Ignoring the light can lead to worsening performance or damage, so it’s important to have it checked—even if the car seems to be running fine.
What should I do if my car is overheating?
If your engine temperature is rising quickly or steam is coming from under the bonnet, pull over safely and turn the engine off. Continuing to drive with an overheating engine can cause major damage, including a blown head gasket or warped cylinder head. Once the engine has cooled, check coolant levels (if safe), but don’t open the radiator cap while hot. The car should be inspected by a mechanic as soon as possible.
Is it safe to drive with an oil leak?
That depends on how severe the leak is and where it’s coming from. A small seep may not cause immediate damage, but if oil levels drop too low or leak onto hot engine parts, it can cause overheating, fire risk or serious engine wear. It’s always safer to have the leak identified and repaired quickly before it turns into a more costly problem.
