Tyres Wearing Or Car Pulling?
If your car keeps pulling left or right, the steering wheel sits off-centre, or your tyres are scrubbing out too fast, it’s usually an alignment issue.
At Pialba Brake, Clutch & Steering in Hervey Bay, we line things up properly so your car drives straight again. A bad alignment doesn’t just wreck tyres — it makes the car harder to control and sketchy if you have to brake hard.
We’ll get it up on the gear, measure everything, and set it right. Cars, utes, 4WDs, light trucks — we’ve seen them all. Call
(07) 4124 4522 and book your wheel alignment today.
Confident Steering Starts Here
Wheel alignments are one of those jobs most people ignore until it’s too late. But they save you money and headaches. Crooked wheels chew through tyres, waste fuel and put stress on suspension.
You’ll often spot it as tyres bald on one edge, steering that feels vague, or the car drifting when you’re trying to hold a line. We check it properly and set it so the car drives how it should. Doesn’t matter if it’s the family runabout, a tradie ute or a loaded 4WD — once it’s aligned, it’ll steer straighter, ride smoother, and your tyres will last a whole lot longer.
Is alignment the same as wheel balancing?
No. Alignment sets the tyre and wheel angles relative to the car. Balancing corrects weight distribution of each wheel to prevent vibration at speed. They work well together but solve different issues.
How long does a wheel alignment take and what is included?
Usually 45 to 60 minutes for a standard vehicle. The technician will inspect tyres, steering and suspension, check pressures, measure angles, make adjustments and complete a road test. Extra time may be needed if parts are worn or adjustment bolts are seized.
How often should I get an alignment?
As a guide, every 12 months or 10,000 to 15,000 km. Also book an alignment after fitting new tyres, replacing steering or suspension parts, or after a hard impact.
